What the inspector wrote

On 10/25/24, Licensing Program Managers (LPM) Bettina Engelman and Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Elvira Sierra met with ECE Director, Kim Ballard, Center Director, Mome Syhachack and Chief Executive Officer, Keenon J Krick for the purpose of an Informal Meeting at the facility. LPA and LPM toured the facility and observed the care and supervision of children. LPM Engelman defined the difference between a Non-Compliance and an Informal Meeting. LPM advised facility representatives the purpose of todays meeting is to help facility gain compliance. Today's informal meeting was to discuss type A citation issued on 05/22/24 for children's personal right violation and on 08/30/24 for absence of supervision. . Facility representatives stated that they have taken the following steps to maintain compliance: 1. Staff meeting was held regarding supervision and personal rights of the children. 2. Facility will enforce head counts within each classroom. 3. Facility will conduct face to name checks during transition periods. 4. Personal rights and supervision expectations were reviewed during the staff meeting to provide support, and training to staff. Also representatives stated that San Joaquin County Office of Education provide support to facility staff and families. LPA and LPM reviewed regulations and expectations on visual supervision and personal rights. LPM and LPA provided information regarding training videos on Supervision and Personal Rights and the Technical Support Program (TSP), which is a non-enforcement arm of the Community Care Licensing Division offering on site support to licensees and providers. LPA will follow-up with Center Manager for TSP services. LPA discussed using the Department website (ccld.ca.gov) for childcare updates, legislation, forms and regulation information. LPM suggested viewing information videos at www.ccld.childcarevideos.org . No deficiencies were cited. This report was reviewed by facility representatives, Kim Ballard, Mome Syhachack and Keenon J Krick.
