What the inspector wrote

Centralized Application Bureau (CAB) Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Alecia Sifuentes met with Licensee, Aida Lomeli for the purpose of a case management inspection. Licensee is requesting a change of capacity for 12 infants. The fire clearance (STD850) was granted and received on 1/16/2024. The program currently operates Monday through Sunday from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. INDOOR ACTIVITY SPACE: There is one infant classroom and a crib room. LPA observed a sufficient amount of equipment, toys, tables, chairs, cubbies, 10 cribs (2 cribs in storage), and napping cots. LPA measured the infant classroom. The infant classroom contains a total of 426 square feet, which will accommodate Licensee’s request for 12 infants. There is one sink located within arm’s reach of a changing table. There is a separate restroom for staff located in the infant classroom. OUTDOOR ACTIVITY SPACE: There is one outdoor area on the property. LPA observed a Shared Outdoor Space Waiver posted. Licensee stated that no changes have been made with the outdoor space since licensure. LPA used current outdoor measurements from report dated 6/24/2021, therefore LPA did not take measurements. The outdoor play area contains a total of 2,879 square feet, which will accommodate Licensees request for 12 infants. Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. Report continues on LIC809-C. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Licensee, Aida Lomeli. Effective today, 1/17/2024, LPA will approve the change of capacity for 12 infants.
