On 10/29/2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jennie Tedlos met with Licensee Naga Deepika Sale for the purpose an Increase of Capacity inspection. LPA observed 8 children supervised by the Licensee and an Assistant. Licensee stated there are no new residents in the home since licensure. All Adult residents have criminal record clearances. LPA and Licensee toured the home . The off-limits area in the home are the garage, laundry room, master bedroom, and back yard. Licensee acknowledged that children may never enter these off-limit areas. Licensee requested an increase in capacity from 8 to 14 children. Fire clearance has been approved by the Lathrop-Manteca FPD on 10/18/24. The Department received the Fire Safety Inspection Clearance, and the home has been cleared for up to 14 children. Large family childcare home capacity limitations were reviewed during today's inspection. LPA observed cleaning supplies properly stored out of reach of children. LPA observed medications out of reach of children. Licensee stated there are no weapons in the home. Fire extinguisher (2A10BC), smoke detector, and carbon monoxide meet Title 22 regulation. Toys appear to be clean and safe. The backyard area is fenced and the side yard available to children is separated from the main backyard. Licensee understands that prior to making alterations or additions to the home or grounds, the licensee shall notify the Department of the proposed changes. Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. Report Continues on 809-C During the exit interview, the Licensee, Naga, confirmed that there are no Registered Sex Offenders living in the facility and LPA completed the RSO profile in FAS. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see PIN 22-02-CCP. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. LPA also informed licensee of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment. Licensee was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California. Effective today's date, 10/29/24, Licensee is approved for the capacity increase to serve up to either 14 childre n, one (1) of which must be enrolled in kindergarten and at least one (1) 6 years of age and no more than three (3) may be infants; or 12 children , four (4) of which may be infants. Infants are children under the age of 2. Exit interview was conducted and report was reviewed with Licensee, Naga Deepika Sale. A notice of site visit was provided and posted by LPA Jennie Tedlos and must remain posted for 30 days. No Title 22 deficiencies observed in the areas evaluated during the inspection.
