What the inspector wrote

Centralized Application Bureau (CAB) Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Alecia Sifuentes met with Director Kimberly (Kim) Bowers for the purpose of a case management inspection. Licensee is requesting to remove the school-age component and provide care for 110 preschool children only ages two years to entry into first grade. The program currently operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The fire clearance was granted and received on 7/31/2024. INDOOR ACTIVITY SPACE: There are eight preschool classrooms located in rooms #100, #102, #103, #104, #105, #106, #107, and Play N\342\200\231 Stay Room #110. LPA observed a sufficient amount of equipment, toys, tables, chairs, and cubbies for the children. LPA used current measurements from report dated 7/24/2024, therefore LPA did not take measurements. The preschool classrooms contain a total of 5,840 square feet which will accommodate Licensee\342\200\231s request for 110 preschool children. There is one toilet and two sinks located in each classroom for a total of eight toilets and sixteen sinks for the children. OUTDOOR ACTIVITY SPACE: There are two outdoor areas on the property, one large playground and one small playground. Both outdoor play areas are fenced with a chain link fence that is at least four feet tall. LPA observed a sufficient amount of equipment and toys. There is one play structure located on the large playground which is approved for ages 2-5 years old. There are two play structures located on the small playground which is approved for ages 5-12 years old. Director understands that children under the age of five years old cannot utilize the play structures located on the small playground at any time. LPA used current measurements from report dated 7/24/2024, therefore LPA did not take measurements. The outdoor areas contain a total of 14,290 square feet which will accommodate Licensee\342\200\231s request for 110 preschool children. Report continues on LIC809-C. Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Director Kim Bowers. Effective today, 8/1/2024, LPA will approve the change of components for 110 preschool children ages two years to entry into first grade.
