What the inspector wrote

On April 23, 2026, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Stacey Williams met with Facility Representative, Poonam Sharma for an unannounced required inspection. LPA provided LIC 125, Entrance Checklist. There were sixty children (8 infants, 52 pre-k) children present during today’s inspection being supervised by 8 staff. Facility Representative was reminded never to exceed the conditions, limitations and capacity specified on the license . Facility hours of operation are Monday- Friday: 6:30AM-6:30 PM. Facility fees are current. The Facility Representative was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Childcare Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. LPA toured the facility including all activity and classroom spaces, napping room, restrooms, food service and outdoor play areas. The Facility Representative stated there are no poisons, bodies of water, or weapons on the premises. LPA observed that hazardous items (disinfectants, cleaning solutions etc.) were inaccessible to children in care. LPA observed functioning carbon monoxide and smoke alarms. There are multiple 2A-40 BC fire extinguishers onsite. There are adequate toys and equipment available for infants and preschool children. Infant sheets are washed daily; preschool sheets are washed at the end of each week. Playground equipment and surfaces were inspected and are in good repair with enough resilient material under climbing structures to absorb a fall for all age groups served. Drinking water was readily available to children both indoors and outdoors. Menus were posted. LPA observed required licensing postings were visible to parents. LPA observed a current children's roster and fire drill log; the last drill was conducted 3/2026 . Sign in/out is done electronically through the ProCare App. Continued on LIC 809-C..... Page 2… During today’s inspection staff and children’s files were reviewed. LPA observed current immunization records and employe rights forms for all staff files reviewed. Documentation of the educational background, training, and/or experience and Mandated Reporter training certificates were in staff files. Staff present today have current Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification (expires 9/2028 for Facility Representative). Each child's file contained appropriate documentation: emergency card, consent for emergency medical treatment and notifications of children’s and parent’s rights, health history, needs and services plans, infant safe sleep logs, physician's report and immunization records. Assembly Bill (AB) 2370, Chapter 676, Statutes of 2018, requires all licensed Childcare Centers (CCCs) constructed before January 1, 2010, to test their water (used for drinking and food preparation) for lead contamination before January 1, 2023, and then every 5-years after the date of the first test. For childcare center licenses issued after July 1, 2022, the licensee shall test their water for lead within 180 days of licensure pursuant to Written Directives section 101700 (PIN 21-21.1-CCP). LPA verified that the lead testing was completed in accordance to the Written Directives outlined in PIN 21-21.1-CCP. This facility provides Incidental Medical Services – IMS. LPA reviewed storage of medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children’s, personnel, and administrative records. Page 3… Facility Representative was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain childcare by connecting them to childcare providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California. Community Care Licensing Division (CCLD) regularly sends information to licensed facilities, providers, and stakeholders by way of Provider Information Notices (PIN), Program Quarterly Update Newsletters, and other important information communication platforms.
