What the inspector wrote

On February 24, 2026, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Stacey Williams and Application Specialist Alecia Sifuentes met with Facility Representative, Tasha Mathews for the purpose of a case management inspection. Licensee is requesting an increase of capacity to accommodate 60 children to occupy two classrooms at Tracy Unified- Wanda Hirsch Elementary School. Facility currently operates in classroom 31 and is requesting to add classroom 32. The facility's hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The approved fire clearance was received on 2/12/2026 by Tracy FD-South County Fire Authority. There were 6 children present during today's inspection supervised by 6 staff. A health and safety inspection was conducted in all areas accessible to children for classrooms 31 and 32. Measurements for classroom 32 are as follows: The total classroom space for classroom 32 contains a total of 1,155 square feet. There is one toilet and two sinks available to children, and a separate staff restroom is available outside of the classroom. Classroom 31 was previously inspected and measured by Application Specialist, (AS) Sifuentes on 10/28/2025. Per Facility Representative, Tasha Mathews stated no changes had been made to the classroom. The total classroom space contains a total of 1, 084 square feet. There this one toilet and two sinks available to children. There are two additional children\342\200\231s bathrooms outside with 6 toilets and 4 sinks. The total indoor square footage will accommodate the licensee\342\200\231s requested capacity for 60 preschool children. LPAs observed a functional carbon monoxide detector in both classrooms. LPAs observed disinfectants are inaccessible and appropriately stored. Individual measurements are recorded on the Capacity Worksheets (LIC 9024). This facility provides Incidental Medical Services \342\200\223 IMS. This facility evaluation report was reviewed and discussed with the Facility Representative. Facility Representative was encouraged to the visit the Department's website at WWW.CDSS.CA.GOV for information regarding childcare updates, forms, regulations and legislation pertaining to childcare centers. Facility Representative was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain childcare by connecting them to childcare providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California. Effective 2/24/2026 the facility is approved for a total capacity of 60 children. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Facility Representative, Tasha Mathews. A notice of site visit was provided and must remain posted for 30 days.
