LIC 809- Case Management: Licensee Initiated On 02/20/2026, Licensing Program Analyst Denice Pablico (LPA1) and Licensing Program Analyst Jennie Tedlos (LPA 2) conducted an unannounced Case Management inspections for the purpose of a Change in Capacity. Licensee Linda Ramos (L1) requested an increase in capacity from 8 children to 14 children. A fire clearance, dated 02/03/2026, has been received by LPA1 and is on file with the Department. LPA's arrived at the Family Child Care Home (FCCH) and were met with L1 and her spouse. LPAs disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entrance into the FCCH. LPAs observed a census of 1 preschool aged children being supervised by L1. LPA1 accessed Guardian and determined that all required individuals subject to a background review had obtained a criminal record clearance and were associated to the license. LPAs toured the on-limits areas of the FCCH. The on-limits are the living room, den, kitchen, bathroom #4, and backyard. A health and safety inspection was conducted in areas accessible to children. The OFF-limit areas of the FCCH are all bedrooms, bathroom #1, bathroom #2, bathroom #3, the 2-car garage, the laundry room, and the side yard. L1 understands that OFF-limit areas must remain inaccessible to children in care. LPA1 discussed ratios for a large capacity, documents required for staff or adult assistant, and LIC 9150 was provided for parents. Licensee was encouraged to visit the Department website at WWW.CCLD.CA.GOV for children updates, current forms, legislation and regulations information. L1 provided proof of control of property Continue on 809C... (page 2- 809C) Effective today, 02/20/2026, the facility is approved for a LARGE capacity to serve 12 children (when there is an assistant present) with no more that 4 infants OR a capacity of 14 children with no more than 3 infants, and when 1 child is in Kindergarten or Elementary School, and 1 child is at least aged 6 years old. Infants are children under the age of 24 months old. L1 understands that when there is no assistant present, the facility must revert back to the ratios of a small capacity. NO DEFICIENCIES were observed in the areas that were evaluated today. An exit interview was conducted, and the report was reviewed with Licensee Linda Ramos. LPA1 provided Licensee Appeal Rights to L1. A Notice of Site visit was posted by LPA1 and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
