Facility-requested visit·August 16, 2022

On 8/16/22, at 1:00 PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Elvin Baddley conducted an unannounced Case Management Inspection of the abovementioned Child Care Center (CCC) to assess a request for a Toddler component/option to be added to the CCC's Preschool license. LPA met with Doris Angel, Director of the CCC, and explained the nature and purpose of the inspection. LPA notes 32 children are on site along with 10 teachers providing are and supervision. LPA toured the classroom which was proposed for the CCC's Toddler component/option as well as the outdoor play area. LPA discussed the Toddler component/option with the Director as well as some the of alterations which need to be made to the physical plant (i.e. separate play classroom, play area) to support a Toddler component/option. The Director retracted the request for a Toddler component/option at this time noting a couple of modifications needed to be made to support the Toddler component/option on site. LPA informed Director department literature will be forward outline the requirements for a toddler component/option. No deficiencies were cited dur in g today's inspection and LPA forwarded a Notice of Site Visit which is to be posted as required by H&S Code Section.1596.817. The Notice of Site Visit must remain posted for 30 days or a civil penalty $100.00 may apply.
