On 7/10/2025 at 9:56 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Gigi Reyes conducted an unannounced Case Management Inspection at Peace Christian Pre School. LPA met with Child Care Center Director (CCC) Doris Angel and co Director Sierra Day and discussed the purpose of the inspection. There were total of 34 children and 7 Staff members present including the Director and co Director. On 4/24/2025, an inspection was initiated in response to the self reported incident that occurred on March 21, 2025, involving a child who was unintentionally left unsupervised in classroom during the transition period. Based on LPA's interview and review of documentation, it was determined that child was found approximately five minutes after the transition period by another parent. The child was located inside the room and was hand over to Staff # 1 who was standing near the classroom. At the time the child was found, child was found to be in safe condition, unharmed, not crying, happy and engaged in play. There was no sign that child was in distress. There were no immediate hazards inside the classroom. Also the risk of the child exiting the building is considered minimal, because the center has double gated security, the outer gate has 7-foot metal fence with a gate that remains locked and is only accessible through a digital PIN code. Following the said incident , director stated that additional safety protocols have been implemented. During today's inspection, no deficiency was cited, a Technical Violation was issued. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Director Doris Angel.
