What the inspector wrote

On March 4, 2026 at 2:50 PM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Bill Billones and Elizabeth George conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection of the above-mentioned Child Care Center (CCC) to follow up on an Unusual Incident Report (UIR) received by the Department on 02/23/2026. LPAs met with Director Rosa Avila and explained the nature of the inspection. LPAs and the Director toured the center\342\200\231s toddler classroom and outdoor playground. LPAs noted 6 children present under the care and supervision of 2 staff. LPAs observed the area where a child (C1) was injured, which was near the lower sink counter. LPAs were informed the lead teacher (S1) and Director witnessed the incident. Director informed LPAs of what occurred during the incident. C1 required medical attention and LPAs requested the child\342\200\231s medical report. Based on the information gathered during the inspection, LPAs determined that the Director took appropriate action to meet the needs of children in care. The Director also reported the incident in accordance with Title 22 regulations for reporting requirements. During today\342\200\231s inspection, no deficiencies are being cited as a result of the incident. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Director Rosa Avila.
