What the inspector wrote

On 10/20/2025 at 8:15 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Gigi Reyes conducted an unannounced Case Management Inspection at the above Family Child Care Home. (FCCH) LPA met with Licensee/applicant, Martha Zarate and discussed the purpose of the inspection. Applicant/Licensee operates from Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM and provides care to children between the age of 4 months to 12 years old. The daycare uses the living room, kitchen, dining, one (1) bathroom and one (1) bedroom for a classroom. Control of Property was reviewed. On October 8, 2025, Applicant/Licensee submitted an application to Community Care Licensing (CCL) requesting an increase in FCCH capacity from 8 to 14 day care children. On October 14, 2025 San Luis Obispo County Fire Department granted the safety clearance as required for capacity increase. Fire extinguisher was serviced on 2/10/2025, combination carbon monoxide and smoke detectors were tested and found functional. Licensee's/Applicant's Pediatric CPR and First Aid certificate is current expires on 6/22/2026 while Mandated Reporter Training Certificate expires on 6/24/2026. During today's inspection, no deficiency was cited. Large Family Child Care Home License (capacity of 14) was granted and effective today, 10/20/2025. Notice of Site Visit was issued and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with applicant/licensee, Martha Zarate.
