Facility-requested visit·September 8, 2025

On 09/08/25, at 11:30 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Shane Loftus conducted an unannounced Case Management Inspection of the abovementioned Family Child Care Home (FCCH) to authorize the use of the backyard. LPA met with Christopher and Christina Raj, Licensees of the FCCH and explained the purpose of the inspection. LPA, in the company of Licensee, toured the interior and exterior of the FCCH. At the time of the inspection LPA observed seven (7) children in care. The backyard area is enclosed by a combination of fencing. The footing in the area is varied. There is a hot tub in the backyard. LPA observed the hot tub to be covered and secured with safety latches. The backyard has three separate levels. Children will only have access to the top level. LPA observed a gate leading to the second and third levels of the back yard to prevent children accessing those areas. At 11:50 AM, LPA observed a barbecue with a propane tank on the first level of the backyard. Licensee stated that several chairs on the first level of the backyard will be moved to the lower levels to provide adequate space for the children in care. Licensee also states that toys and play equipment currently used in the front yard will be moved to the backyard. Before the backyard is approved to be used for child care, the licensee will submit the following: \302\267 Proof that the propane tank is removed from the first level of the backyard and made inaccessible to children in care. \302\267 Proof that there is adequate space on the first level for the children in care. \302\267 Age appropriate toys and play equipment in the backyard. \302\267 An updated facility sketch (LIC 999) displaying the front yard as inaccessible and the back yard as accessible. A notice of site visit was given to Licensee and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Licensee Christopher Raj.
