What the inspector wrote

On 11/21/25, at 12:30 PM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Matthew Sapien and Gigi Reyes conducted an unannounced plan of correction (POC) visit for the abovementioned CCC. This inspection is to follow up on a complaint inspection conducted on 11/19/25. LPAs met with Angelina Marziello, Co-Director of the CCC, and explained the nature and purpose of the inspection. The LPAs, in the company of Director, toured the CCC. At the time of the inspection, LPAs observed 20 day care children present. In addition to the Co-Director, LPAs observed 1 Staff Assistant (1 Teacher; cleared and associated). During the 11/19/25 visit, LPAs issued one Type A deficiency (see LIC 809-D page from said visit). On 11/19/25, LPAs observed a total of 34 children, 1 teacher, 1 teacher\342\200\231s aide, and a Co-Director. Due to the number of children present, there wasn\342\200\231t an adequate number of staff to meet staffing requirements as outlined by the Department. Since the Type A citation was issued on 11/19/25, the facility was asked to complete the following items: \302\267 Proper capacity requirements will be met by the Co-Director by calling in substitute teachers when necessary \302\267 Proper capacity requirement information will be posted throughout the CCC as a reminder for staff, parents, and other visitors \302\267 A written plan of correction will be sent to the Department on how future instances of over capacity will be avoided \302\267 Parents will be given copies of the 11/19/25 report, the report should be posted prominently in the CCC, and parents shall return the LIC 9224 form to be kept in each of the children\342\200\231s files. (CONT. 809-C, Page 2) During today's inspection, 11/21/25, LPAs placed emphasis on the number of children and staff present. Also, LPAs placed additional emphasis on the review of staff records and qualifications. Through interview, observation, and record review, LPAs determined that the CCC is following proper staff ratios. During today's visit, however, one Type B deficiency was issued due to the last correction listed on the first page of the report not being followed (see LIC 809-D page). A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Appeal rights were also given and signature on this form acknowledges receipt of these rights. Exit interview was conducted and report was reviewed with the Facility Representative, Angelina Marziello.
