This was a required and comprehensive inspection. On October 29, 2025 at 10:55 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Gigi Reyes conducted an unannounced Annual/ Required inspection of the above Family Child Care Home (FCCH) and met with Licensee, Irma Salguero and discussed the purpose of the inspection. FCCH operating hours are Monday to Friday, from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Licensee provides care to children aged 0 to 13 years old. During the inspection, LPA contacted the Telephonic Interpretation Services. During the inspection, LPA and Licensee toured the entire home. The areas accessible to children include the open space living room, kitchen, dining area, one bedroom for napping and the fenced backyard. The rest of the home is not accessible to children. The home including, bathroom, and backyard are hazard free at the time of the inspection. The required licensing forms are posted in by the door. LPA observed age-appropriate toys and equipment inside the home, play pen and napping mats. The outdoor space is completely fenced and equipped with age-appropriate play structure and toys. Knives and cleaning materials are stored inaccessible to the children in care. LPA observed the spa located in the backyard, it was securely covered and fastened with a chain lock. LPA reviewed the facility file Licensee's training certificates are current, Pediatric CPR and First Aid certificate expires 5/27/2027 while Mandated Reporter Training Certificate expires on 10/7/2026. LPA reminded Licensee that it is their responsibility to renew the certificates every two years. The regulation fire extinguisher was serviced on 8/1/2024. LPA observed the carbon monoxide and smoke detectors which were tested and found functional. FCCH conducts fire and disaster drill every 5 months and last drill was conducted on 10/28/2025. Licensee confirmed there are no firearms and ammunition in the home. LPA reviewed the children\342\200\231s files and found completed. Infants are checked every 15 minutes and documentation of these checks are maintained. The Infant Safe Sleep Plan is completed for all infants 0-12 months. LPA also observed the signed Acknowledgement Receipt (LIC 9224) of report for the office meeting held on 2/27/2025 were on children\342\200\231s file. Licensee, Irma Salguero was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensee and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee, the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment. Licensee is not providing Incidental Medical Services (IMS). IMS policy was discussed. For IMS information see PIN 22-02-CCP. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. Licensee was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain childcare by connecting them to childcare providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California. During the exit interview, the LICENSEE, Irma Salguero confirmed that there are no Registered Sex Offenders living in the facility and LPA completed the RSO profile in FAS. During today\342\200\231s inspection, no deficiency was cited. Notice of Site Visit was issued and must be posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the licensee, Irma Salguero. The inspection and report was translated in Spanish by Telephonic Interpretation Services, Interpreter # 1642801 and the Translation Application platform.
