What the inspector wrote

On December 27, 2023, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Rosie Breault conducted an announced Prelicensing visit. LPA met with owner/director Aubree Alamillo and discussed the purpose of the inspection. This facility is located on the grounds of LifePoint Church. On September 18, 2023, applicant applied for a preschool license for children ages 2 years \342\200\223 5 years old, with a capacity of 45 children. The facility plans to operate Monday \342\200\223 Friday 7:30am-5:00pm. Facility will be utilizing four classrooms for care and supervision designated as classroom #1, classroom #2, classroom #3, classroom #4. Applicant stated parents/authorized representatives will be using the ProCare app for purposes of signing in and out. LPA observed all classrooms to contain age-appropriate toys and equipment, ample ventilation, access to filtered water and restroom facilities, and trash bins with tight fitting lids. Facility maintains three indoor sinks, three toilets and one outdoor sink for children\342\200\231s use only. LPA observed cots for sleeping and facility maintains an isolated area in the event a child becomes ill. Director stated facility will provide two snacks for children and LPA observed appliances to be functioning at the time of the inspection. Fire extinguisher was purchased on October 18, 2023, carbon monoxide detectors were functioning at the time of the inspection and first aid kits are available. Outdoor area is contained by permitter fencings, and includes soft padding to absorbs falls, age-appropriate toys and equipment, sandbox, ample shade, and two locked storage sheds inaccessible to children. No bodies of water were present at the time of the inspection. Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. Licensee was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain childcare by connecting them to childcare providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California. Five Cities Fire Authority conducted an inspection on 12/6/2023 and cleared requested capacity of 45. Preschool rooms total area measures 2034.83 sq. ft which meets the requirements for requested capacity of 45 children. Total outdoor area measures 3559.41 which meets the requirements for requested capacity of 45 children. Increase pending manager approval and director qualification exception submitted to the Department. No deficiencies were cited during today\342\200\231s inspection. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with owner/director Aubree Alamillo Notice of Site Visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
