Facility-requested visit·September 26, 2024

On September 26th, 2024 at approximately 11: 20 AM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPA Gil arrived at the facility. LPA conducted an unannounced case management inspection for a decrease of capacity. LPA met with Lead Teacher, Catherine Kirkpatrick. Facility has requested to decrease capacity from 114 to 60. Facility plans to still operate in classrooms #1- 4 and the Social Hall. Present at the facility were 16 preschool age children with 5 staff. All adults working in the facility are fingerprint clearance on file. Facility operates from St Andrews Presbyterian Church. Facility is currently licensed for 114 children in Room #1-4 and Social Hall. LPA measured room #1-4 and Social Hall. All classrooms and Social Hall used for nap time only measured for a total of 4273.50 sq ft allowing 60 preschool age children. Facility has 4 toilets, 8 sinks(there is one sink in each classroom). LPA inspected Room #1-4 and Social Hall for health and safety hazards. LPA observed that there is a working carbon monoxide detector in each classroom, and multiple fire extinguisher throughout the building. Facility has all the cleaning solutions, poisons, and other chemicals stored inaccessible to the children in high shelves. All Classrooms and Child Care space have age appropriate toys and furniture. LPA observe all furniture to be in proper repair. Floor appears to be in repair and free of any hazards. This facility meets the licensing requirements to decrease capacity to 60 preschoolers and re-licensure is recommended and approved as of today, 9/26/2024. New license shall be posted when received. No deficiencies were cited today. Exit interview and report was discussed with lead teacher Catherine Kirkpatrick . This report and notice of site visit were discussed with the licensee and must be made available to the public upon request.
