Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

Regarding the allegation that staff took children's lunch away. Interviews and records review revealed that parents are aware of the Center's lunch policy, which on the Parent's handbook informed parents that pork or shellfish products are not encouraged under the dietary laws of the Temple. The Center also required parents to sign an acknowledgment that they read and understand the Parent's Handbook and agreed to abide by all policies and procedures of the Center. The staff interview concluded that if the children's lunch contained any of the products mentioned above, the staff either has the children eat what they brought or bring it home. The staff mentioned that the Center always has substitute snacks available for children and would never let children go home hungry. Although the above allegations may have happened or are valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the violation did or did not occur; therefore, these allegations are closed as Unsubstantiated. An exit interview was conducted with the site Director, Allison Steckley. Today's report, 4/8/2022, and site visit notice will be sent to the site Director's email by the close of business on 4/8/2022. Confirmation of receipt is required, and a site visit notice must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
