What the inspector wrote

On March 12, 2026 at approximately 4:30PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Katie Krenn conducted an unannounced Plan of Correction Visit. LPA met with a Lead Teacher. The director, Shirley Gaston (D1) arrived within 15 minutes of LPA. LPA explained the purpose of today's visit. Present during the visit in addition to D1 were four staff and one volunteer supervising 29 preschool children ages two to five years old. The facility is operating within it's capacity and it's adult to child ratio during this visit. All staff present have completed criminal record clearances from the Department of Social Services and are associated with this facility on guardian. Days and hours of operation are Monday - Friday from 7:45AM to 5:30PM. There are no pools, ponds, or similar bodies of water on the property. Facility Representative was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see PIN 22-02-CCP. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department.
