On 5/2/2025, at approximately 11:35AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Alvarado and Tse conducted an unannounced annual visit at the facility with a case management visit. LPA Alvarado met with facility Director Lyn Valencia (D1) and explained the purpose of the visit. Present in the Facility was D1 and 11 staff members supervising a total of 44 children (Preschool Age). The facility is operating within staffing and ratio requirements on this day. All adults present are fingerprinted and associated to the facility. LPAs along with D1 inspected the facility for any health or safety hazards. The facility has four classrooms. Children\342\200\231s belongings are in assigned and labeled cubbies. The facility provides mats and cots for napping children. Bedding and blankets are provided by the facility. Per D1 children are able to bring blankets from home if they want to. The facility\342\200\231s hours of operation are from Monday-Friday 8:AM-4:00PM. Every 2 nd and 4 th Wednesday the facility closes at 1:15PM. Facility provides breakfast, lunch and snack. Facility uses Chefables for meals. Children\342\200\231s food allergies and dietary preferences are accommodated. The facility uses an app called ChildPlus to sign in and out children, and an app called \342\200\234Go To\342\200\235 to communicate with families. Continued on Page 2.. Page 2 Continued... The facility is equipped with fully charged fire extinguishers that are at least size 2A10BC. LPAs accounted for the presence of fire alarm systems and a carbon monoxide detector in the facility. The facility has a fully equipped first aid kit. Electrical outlets are childproof and inaccessible. Per D1 there are no weapons or firearms in the facility. No pools, hot tubs, spas, or similar bodies of water present in the facility. Outdoor play area has sufficient shading. There is a play structure that is cushioned with resilient padding. LPAs observed the outdoor play areas to be free of debris and other loose articles. There are age-appropriate toys and equipment present. Each outdoor play area is enclosed by a fence that is at least four feet high. Drinking water is accessible for children playing outside. On April 8 th , facility submitted an application to add an additional outdoor space. Measurements were conducted and an inspection of the outdoor play area was conducted. LPAs observed the additional play area to be free of debris and other loose materials. The additional outdoor play area measured at 3100.101 square feet. The facility is pending fire clearance approval for the use of the additional outdoor play area. LPAs reviewed five staff files and facility records. Staff members present have current Pediatric First Aid/CPR training that Expires at least 8/2025 and 3/2027. Staff have qualifications and immunization records available for review. LPAs reviewed five children files that were complete. Fire drills have been documented and logged. Emergency drills are conducted at least once every six months. All required postings were observed to be posted in each classroom and accessible for review. Facility representative was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. Assembly Bill (AB) 2370, Chapter 676, Statutes of 2018, requires all licensed Child Care Centers (CCCs) constructed before January 1, 2010, to test their water (used for drinking and food preparation) for lead contamination before January 1, 2023, and then every 5-years after the date of the first test. For child care center licenses issued after July 1, 2022, the licensee shall test their water for lead within 180 days of licensure pursuant to Written Directives section 101700 (PIN 21-21.1-CCP). Prior to approval of the additional outdoor play area, fire clearance is required. No deficiencies were cited during today\342\200\231s visit on 5/2/2025.
