What the inspector wrote

(Continued, Page 2) Random selection of staff interviewed stated children are always supervised with sufficient care. Random selection of parents interviewed stated they have no concerns over level of care and supervision staff provide to their children. Per facility's Parent Handbook, infants and toddlers can bite for a variety of reasons and program will respond to incidents with a plan of action. Staff stated program will work with children's families on recognizing techniques, to address children biting. Staff have also provided alternate plans/solutions to meet all children's needs. Per staff interviewed, program's protocols of a child receiving an injury includes notifying child's parents through a phone conversation and/or written injury reports. Random selection of parents interviewed stated they have been informed by staff of their children receiving an injury through a phone conversation and/or written injury report. Staff stated children's diapers are changed at least every 2 hours or as needed. Facility records when a child's diaper is changed and are changed in accordance with requests of families. Parents interviewed stated they are always notified by staff of their child's bathroom and diapering habits. Facility's Parent Handbook states that, although staff will take precautions to ensure children's belongings are handled with care, center is not responsible for damaged clothing. Staff stated enrolled children's clothes are changed as needed. Random selection of parents interviewed stated they do not have any concerns of facility meeting hygiene needs. Although the above allegation may have happened or is valid, based on LPA's classroom observations, interviews, and record review which was conducted, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is UNSUBSTANTIATED. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with center director, Michelle Lee.
