What the inspector wrote

On June 12th, 2025, at approximately 12:50pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Tapia-Mandujano conducted an unannounced Case Management visit. LPA met with Acting Site Supervisor, Stephanie Merlo and explained the purpose of the visit. Present in the facility were Site Supervisor and 11 staff supervising 48 preschool age children. All adults working in the facility are fingerprint cleared and are associated through the main administrative facility. Facility is currently operating within teacher to child ratio on this date. Department received a request to add a new outdoor space on March 25 th , 2025. Fire clearance has been granted as of June 11 th , 2025 for the existing 60 preschool age children. Facility is licensed in Rooms A, B, and C. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm. Children are signed into and out of program using Child plus application with authorized representatives' electronic signatures. LPA inspected and measured the new outdoor area with Site Supervisor. LPA measured Outdoor area to be 1,470.73sqft. divided by 75sqft. allowing for 20 children. LPA observed the outdoor area to have are age-appropriate toys that appear to be in good working condition. LPA did not observe any immediate hazards in the outdoor area. There is a large Oak tree that provides shading to the outdoor space, LPA recommends that another form of shading is added to the outdoor space. Facility had an existing Outdoor Rotational Waiver for 55 children in their existing yard. Due to adding this new outdoor space, facility no longer needs a rotational waiver. Facility acknowledges the maximum number of children in each outdoor space and agrees to not exceed that number. LPA has approved the new outdoor space for 20 preschool age children as of today, June 12th, 2025. Deficiencies were not cited today under CCR, Title 22, Div. 12, Chapt. 1. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Acting Site Supervisor, Stephanie Merlo.
