What the inspector wrote

On 1/6/2026, at approximately 3:30PM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Alvarado conducted an unannounced Case Management visit at the facility. LPA Alvarado met with Licensee Zeneyda Alvarado (L1) and disclosed the purpose of the visit for today. LPA Alvarado observed Present in the Facility is (L1) supervising 2 children (1 Preschooler and 1 school Age). At 3:40PM one child was picked up in care. The licensee is a large license and is operating within capacity limits and ratio during today\342\200\231s inspection. (L1) was reminded that if no assistant provider is present at a Large Family Child Care Home, then the licensee shall comply with the capacity requirements for a Small Family Child Care Home as specified in 102416.5 Staffing Ratio and Capacity. Everyone in the household has fingerprint clearance and is associated to the facility during today\342\200\231s inspection. On 9/3/2025 during the annual inspection the facility was cited a Type B for the usage of the Garage, (L1) removed all children immediately from the Garage during the annual inspection making the garage inaccessible. During the annual inspection it was also determined that the facility had done some renovations throughout the year that did not match with the facility sketch (L1) was asked to submit a new facility sketch that would reflect the most updated changes to the facility. LPA communicated that a follow-up inspection would also be conducted to ensure that off-limits and Family Child Care Homes are properly labeled and documented. LPA also conducted follow up inspections to ensure that the garage was no longer in use on 12/17/2025. A New Fire Clearance was also sent out, since the facility is a large license and having it be re-inspected due to the floor plan changes through the years and placing an updated fire clearance on the facility file. Fire clearance was sent out on 9/10/2025. As of 12/31/2025 the facility was granted fire clearance reflecting the most current changes. Continued on Page 2... Page 2 Continued... LPA Alvarado along with (L1) conducted a Health and Safety Walk through the facility indoors and outdoors. (L1) stated that the garage will no longer be in use, and LPA observed that children belonging have been moved out and is now in the main part of the home. Garage will not be part of the Family Child Care Home. New Facility Sketch Reflects the following: Daycare area: Front Yard (Must be Fenced Fully off when in Use), Bedroom 2 (Play Room), Bathroom 1 (Inside Bedroom 2), Living Room, Dining Room, and Driveway in the back. OFF limit area: Bedroom 1, Bedroom 3, Bedroom 4, Bedroom 5, Bathroom 2, Bathroom 3, Bathroom 4, Kitchen, Family Room (Pass through only to Driveway in back), Laundry Room, Garage and Backyard (Back of the House). Off-limit areas were observed to be barricaded and made inaccessible to children. LPA reminded the licensee that any off-limit areas must be approved by the department prior to use. During today\342\200\231s inspection LPA was able to clear the last remining deficiency that was issued on 9/3/2025. Letters of deficiencies cleared were printed and provided to (L1). No deficiencies were cited during today's visit on 1/6/2026. A notice of site visit was provided and must remain posted for 30 days. Appeal rights were provided and explained to (L1). Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Licensee, Zeneyda Alvarado.
