What the inspector wrote

On 10/07/2025, at approximately 9:00AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Alvarado conducted an unannounced annual visit at the facility. LPA Alvarado met with facility director Karen Corzin(D1) and Explained the purpose for today\342\200\231s Inspection. Present in the Facility is (D1) and two staff members supervising a total of 14 children (Preschool). The facility is operating within staffing and ratio requirements on this day. Staff present have fingerprint clearance and are associated as of today\342\200\231s inspection. This facility is a combination center, with a Preschool License (410518662) located in the same building. LPA along with (D1) inspected the facility for any health or safety hazards. Preschool utilize the Preschool Inside Playroom, Preschool Dining and Activity Area located on the main building. LPA observed three age appropriate toilets and two sinks that were observed to be functioning during today\342\200\231s inspection. LPA Alvarado also observed cubbies for preschool belongings. Facility also uses the Outdoor Play Yard which is a fenced outdoor play area designated for preschool use. Outdoor play area has sufficient shading and tan-bark as safe landing zones for the playstructure. LPA reminded (D1) of the areas that have constant landing zones that might need additional cusin such as under the slide. LPA observed the outdoor play areas to be free of debris and other loose articles. There are age-appropriate toys and equipment present. Each outdoor play area is enclosed by a fence that is at least four feet high. No Pools, hot tubs, spas, or similar bodies of water present in the facility. Continued on Page 2... Page 2 Continued... Facility Hours of operation are from Monday-Friday 7:30AM-5:00PM. Facility Provided Am Snack, Lunch and PM Snack. Facility uses Chefables who provides meal services. Facility also provides drinking water from a filter that is attached to the sink. Facility Provides napping equipment such as cots. LPA reminded (D1) that napping sheets should not be touching. Facility has a washer and dryer and provides washing as needed. Per (D1) there are no weapons or firearms in the facility. Facility uses Brightwheel to sign in and out as well as another form of communication with families. Facility Building is equipped with a fully charged fire extinguishers. LPA observed Duo Fire alarm systems and Carbon Monoxide Detector in the facility. Facility has a Fully equipped First Aid Kit. Electrical outlets are childproof and inaccessible. LPA observed Poisons, cleaning detergents, and other chemicals made inaccessible to children in care. Facility has child proof locks and has made off limit areas barricaded and inaccessible to children. LPA reviewed 2 staff files and 5 children records. Children records were observed to to complete. At least one staff member present has current Pediatric First Aid/CPR training that Expires 7/2027. Staff have qualifications and immunization records available for review. Staff have the completed Mandated Reporter Training on File. Facility conducts Emergency Drills that are conducted at least once every six months, last Emergency Drill that was conducted was on 05/13/2025. All required documents to be posted in a prominent public accessible area at the facility were observed to be posted and accessible for review upon entry to the facility. LPA advised on a few that needed to be posted and observed (D1) post them. To improve the quality and value of the new inspection process, a survey may be sent to the email address provided. Facility representative was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. Assembly Bill (AB) 2370, Chapter 676, Statutes of 2018, requires all licensed Child Care Centers (CCCs) constructed before January 1, 2010, to test their water (used for drinking and food preparation) for lead contamination before January 1, 2023, and then every 5-years after the date of the first test. For child care center licenses issued after July 1, 2022, the licensee shall test their water for lead within 180 days of licensure pursuant to Written Directives section 101700 (PIN 21-21.1-CCP). Facility tested for Lead on 8/17/2022. Lead Results are posted on the California Water Board Site and Load Date Results were posted on 8/31/2022. Facility is in compliance with the (PIN 21-21.1-CCP) written directives. For IMS information see PIN 22-02-CCP. Facility representative was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California. Based on today's inspection 10/7/2025, No deficiencies were issued today during LPA's visit. See LIC9102-TA for Technical Advisory regarding Child Records. Appeal rights were provided to (D1). A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
