What Happened
Unannounced annual visit to child care center. Inspector found facility compliant with most requirements but identified deficiency: drinking water not accessible during outdoor play. Lead testing completed with no exceedances. One toilet fill issue and loose faucets noted but operational.
Observations
- Carbon monoxide detectors installed
- Fully charged fire extinguishers (at least size 2A10BC) present
- Sprinklers and fire alarm systems present
- Emergency exits clearly marked and visible
- Heating and ventilation controls in each classroom
- One toilet not filling with proper amount of water - work order to be placed
- Two faucets loose and movable but still operational - work order to be placed
- Outdoor play area has one fence that is slanted due to heavy wind - facility requested remediation
- No swimming pools or bodies of water
- No firearms or weapons
- DEFICIENCY FOUND: No drinking water accessible during outdoor play - LPA advised children must have access to drinking water at all times per waiver conditions
