What the inspector wrote

***** THIS IS AN AMENDED REPORT FROM ORIGINAL DATED 10/08/2024 ***** On October 8th, 2024, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Medrano and Alvarado conducted a case management inspection and met with Director, Jacqueline "Jackie" Galdamez. LPAs explained the purpose of today\342\200\231s inspection. LPAs toured the facility and inspected for health and safety hazards. During the inspection it was found that multiple cleaning products were left in reach of children in the preschool areas. The items were immediately moved and made to be out of reach of children. As well as in outdoor areas hazardous materials were found, at the time of inspection there were no children present and director stated that children have not been present in the area the day that it was inspected. At approximately, 10:15am LPAs observed the "TK" program heading to upper classrooms. Per director, the TK children are children that are all enrolled in the Building Kidz program. Based on review of documents on file, the facility does not have fire clearance for the spaces in the upstairs area. This report and appeal rights were provided and exit interview was conducted with the Site Director, Jacqueline. Notice of Site Visit shall remain posted for 30 days. California Code of Regulations, Title 22 Type B deficiency is being cited on the following page(s):

This poses and immediate health and safety risk to children in care.

    Building and Grounds(g) Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, poisons and other items that could pose a danger if readily available to children shall be stored where inaccessible to children. (1) Storage areas for poisons shall be locked.This requirement was not met as evidenced by: Based on observations it was found that cleaning products in rooms 4 and 5 as well as restroom were left in reach of children and not locked. As the products were immediatley moved this poses a potential health and safety risk to children in care.

This posed an immediate health and safety risk to children in care.
