What the inspector wrote

On March 3, 2026 at 2:25PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Alvarado arrived at the facility to conduct an unannounced case management for a room addition. LPA Alvarado met with the licensee Christie T. Cruz (L1). Purpose of the inspection was explained. (L1) wanted to add the dining room that was currently off limits for Family Child Care Home use. Facility is a large license and Fire clearance was required prior to department approval. The department receive fire clearance that was granted on 2/26/2026. Present in the facility was (L1) supervising 1 child present (Preschooler). All adults present in the home have fingerprint clearance and are associated with the facility as of today\342\200\231s inspection. The facility is a large license and is operating within capacity limits and ratio during today\342\200\231s inspection. (L1) was reminded that if no assistant provider is present at a Large Family Child Care Home, then the licensee shall comply with the capacity requirements for a Small Family Child Care Home as specified in 102416.5 Staffing Ratio and Capacity. LPA along with (L1) inspected day care areas for health and safety hazards. (L1) is adding the Dining Room near the Family Room (Main Day Care Room) on ground level, to be part of the facility and be used as dining. LPA inspected the dining room, where (L1) installed a wider gate dividing off from the living room and dining room. Per (L1) Dining Room will primarily be used for when children are dining thought the day. Continued on Page 2.. Page 2 Continued... Daycare area: Family Room (Main Day Care Room) on ground level, Bathroom (Located on the lower level of the home), Nap Room (Located on the Lower level of the home) and Upper Portion of the Backyard that is Gated off. OFF limit area: Kitchen, Dining Room, Living Room, Entire 2 nd Floor, Lower Portion of the Back Yard, Storage Sheds Outdoors, Front Yard and Garage. LPA observed that off limit areas were properly barricaded and made inaccessible to the children in care. LPA observed home to be clean and in good repair. There are a variety of age-appropriate toys and equipment in the home which are in good condition. Home has stairs that is properly barricaded making them inaccessible to children in care. As of today March 3, 2026 the dining room near the Family Room (Main Day Care Room) on ground level has been added and approved as part of the day care area. (L1) stated it would be used for dining and an additional space for Family Child Care Home use. Newly approved areas of the home will include as follows: Daycare area: Family Room (Main Day Care Room) on ground level, Dining Room, Bathroom (Located on the lower level of the home), Nap Room (Located on the Lower level of the home) and Upper Portion of the Backyard that is Gated off. OFF limit area: Kitchen (Pass through only to restroom or Nap Room located on the lower level of the home), Living Room, Entire 2 nd Floor, Lower Portion of the Back Yard, Storage Sheds Outdoors, Front Yard and Garage. (L1) was reminded that prior to making alterations or additions to a family child care home or grounds, the licensee shall notify the Department of the proposed changes. Including Any change from an area of the family child care home previously identified as "off limits" to an area where care and supervision will be provided to children in care. No deficiencies were cited during today\342\200\231s inspection under CCR, Title 22, Div. 12, Chapt. 1. Appeal Rights were provided to (L1). A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview was conducted and report was reviewed by licensee, Christie T. Cruz.
