What the inspector wrote

On April 29, 2025, at 2:00PM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Alvarado arrived at the facility to conduct an unannounced case management for a room addition. LPA Alvarado met with the licensee Annabelle Aquino(L1). Licensee wanted to add a room that was off limits for Family Child Care Home use. Purpose of the inspection was explained. Present in the facility was (L1) and no children present. All adults present in the home have fingerprint clearance and are associated to the facility. LPA and (L1) inspected day care areas for health and safety hazards. Licensee would like to add Bedroom 1 to be part of the facility. Licensee(L1) submitted a new application to LPA on 4/15/2025. (L1) submitted Application for a Family Child Care Home License (LIC 279), Letter of Intent, Facility Sketch(LIC 999), and Emergency Disaster Plan for Family Child Care Homes (LIC 610). LPA inspected the new Bedroom 1 and observed two cribs, 1 changing table and 1 bassinet. LPA informed the licensee that bassinets are not allowed in the facility. Licensee removed the bassinet immediately from the room and made it inaccessible. Safe sleep was discussed with the licensee. OFF limit areas: Garage, Bedroom 1, Bedroom 2, Bedroom 3, Master Bedroom and Bathroom in Master Bedroom LPA observed that off limit areas were properly barricaded and made inaccessible to the children in care. LPA observed there are a variety of age-appropriate toys and equipment in the home which are in good condition. As of today 4/29/2025 bedroom 1 is added as part of the day care area, per the licensee it would mostly be used for infants as the licensee plans on wanting to receive infants for care. Licensee would like to have an additional space available if needed. LPA took the original LIC 279 with the wet signature. No deficiencies were cited today under CCR, Title 22, Div. 12, Chapt. 1.
