What the inspector wrote

On 4/18/23 at 11:30 AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Cowan conducted a case management inspections. This inspection is due to an application received in the Regional Office to add one rooms to the license as well as another licensee. Licensee wants add the living room to the license. Present in the home is licensee, 2 helpers, and 13 children in care. During inspection, Licensee asked to also add the basement to the license. LPA inspected the rooms and sun room. LPA observed that the living room is clean, orderly, and equipped with age appropriate toys and equipment for the children. Home has sufficient lighting and ventilation. Home has a working telephone, a working smoke and carbon monoxide detector, and a fully charged fire extinguisher. Chimney in Living room is properly barricaded. There are no bodies of water on the property. There are no poisons, detergents, or cleaning products accessible to day-care children. LPA observed 2 exosaucers and had licensee's assistant remove them to an off limits area and discussed that they are not to be used during day care hours. Licensee has already begun to use the basement to supervise infants. LPA explained that the basement and living room areas are not to be used until the fire department has approved all areas. Before rooms may be licensed, the items below must be completed. - licensee must receive a fire clearance for the additional rooms. - the sun room must be cleaned and organized for day care use.
