What the inspector wrote

On July 16, 2025 at approximately 2:00PM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Katie Krenn arrived at the facility to conduct an unannounced annual Inspection. LPA met with teacher, Bev Coluzzi and explained that the purpose of today's visit. There were 17 preschool children being supervised by two teachers. The facility remains within its capacity limits and meets the required ratios for today\342\200\231s visit. LPA reviewed the sign in app where parents sign their children in and out of the facility. Days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday: 7:30AM - 5:30PM. LPA observed that all required documents, such as the facility license, notification of parents\342\200\231 rights, personal rights, car seat laws, emergency disaster plan, and earthquake preparedness checklist were displayed and visible to the public where children are dropped off and picked up by parents and caregivers. LPA reviewed the files of five children, confirming that their emergency contact and medical information were complete and in order. LPA observed that the classroom had age-appropriate toys, furniture, educational materials, and designated storage space for each child labeled with their name and photo, which included cubbies with hooks and bins. LPA did not observed any accessible electrical outlets. The classroom had a bathroom with two child sized toilets and two child height sinks available for children. LPA observed that the bathroom was clean, fully operational, and equipped with suitable toileting equipment and sanitation products. continued on page 2 page 2 The LPA inspected the indoor and outdoor areas for health and safety hazards. The facility was clean, safe, and well-maintained. Per facility representative children bring their own lunches, snacks, and water bottles from home. The facility keeps extra snacks and disposable water bottles to use as needed. There are two children with allergies. Per the facility representative an epinephrine pen is kept on site. This is a nut free facility. LPA tested the smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector and found both of them to be functioning. Facility representative was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. No citations were issued during today's visit. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the facility representative, Stephanie Gray. This inspection will be completed at a later date.
