Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

On 2/4/2026, at approximately 9:30AM, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jonathan Tse conducted an unannounced case management visit at the facility. LPA met with Site Supervisor, Yesenia Ramirez, and explained the purpose of the visit. Present during the visit was the Site Supervisor, 6 teachers, and 22 preschool age children. The facility operates a preschool age program out of a portable located on the Alvin Hatch Elementary School site. The facility submitted a request to remeasure the available outdoor space due to additional space being added. Fire clearance was granted on 12/16/2025. This facility was initially licensed with a waiver that allowed for up to 20 children to be present at a time in the outdoor play areas due to outdoor square footage limitations. LPA observed the surface of the outdoor play area to have resilient padding such as artificial turf. The newly added sections of the outdoor play area include a grassy play area. There is shade available for children via tarps or umbrellas. Children's water bottles are brought outside during outside play. Cones are used to separate play areas as needed. LPA measured the total outdoor space to be 3380.84 sq. ft., which will accommodate the facility's total licensed capacity of 30 preschool age children. The facility no longer requires an outdoor rotation waiver. No deficiencies were cited during today's visit on 2/4/2026. Appeal rights were provided and explained. A notice of site visit was provided and must remain posted for 30 days. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with facility representative, Fabiola Marquez.
