What the inspector wrote

On June 13, 2025 at approximately 9:00AM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Katie Krenn and Almond Tso arrived at the child care facility unannounced to conduct a case management visit of an incident that the facility self reported. LPAs met Director of Licensing, Gamila Elassal and explained the purpose of today's visit was to follow up on the incident that the facility self reported. Present during the visit was Director of Licensing, 18 staff, and 113 preschool age children. Teacher to child ratio was met the facility was operating within it's capacity on this day. During today's visit, LPAs collected pertinent documents from the licensee and conducted interviews with seven children, a staff member, and the director. During the visit LPAs conducted a physical plant inspection. To improve the quality and value of the new inspection process, a survey will be sent to the email address provided. Director was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. No citations were issued during today's visit. LPA Krenn conducted exit interview with Director of Licensing, Gamila Elassal.
