What the inspector wrote

On March 26, 2025 Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) German Negrete and Associate Governmental Program Analyst Francisco Pedroza conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection to follow up on a Unusual Incident Report (UIR) received by the Department on March 7th 2025. LPAs met with Site Supervisor Susana Del Toro the purpose of the inspection was discussed. LPA toured the center with Site Supervisor Susana Del Toro. LPA observed 2 staff directly supervising 12 children in care during nap time. LPA spoke with Site Supervisor Susana Del Toro regarding the incident that occurred on March 7th 2025 The incident involved staff #1 who inappropriately held and picked up C#1 and carried C#1 to the sink. According to Site Supervisor Child #1 did not sustain injuries or marks. Staff #1 is no longer employed at the center. This incident and it's review is still on going. Based on observations and the interview with the Site Supervisor it is recommended the center contact the Santa Barbara County Education Office, Inclusive Early Education Expansion Program (IEEEP) at (805) 96-4710 ext. 4440 for additional training for staff to ensure further incidents do not occur. There were no deficiencies cited at this time . Notice of site visit was provided at the conclusion. FAILURE TO POST THE NOTICE OF SITE VISIT FOR 30 DAYS MAY RESULT IN A $100.00 CIVIL PENALTY.
