On January 10, 2024 Licensing Program Analyst's (LPA's) Susana Martinez and German Negrete conducted an unannounced Case Management- Other inspection to follow up on the new outdoor play structure. LPA's met with Director Lola Gonzales and advised her the purpose of the inspection. Director provided a tour of the facility. At the time of inspection there were 37 children and 4 staff members. The Department received a proposed plan for installation of a new outdoor play structure. Director submitted a timeline along with a facility sketch regarding the installment of the new structure. The plan contained a facility sketch and noted alternative outdoor areas that school-age children could use while the play structure was installed. At the time of inspection LPA's observed the play structure to be fully installed. LPA's observed orange fencing placed around the perimeter of the structure. Director stated that the City has not stopped by to grant the permit as of yet. Proposed City inspection is set for 01/11/2024. Once the City approves the structure children will have access. LPA's verified that the play structure is age appropriate. Based on manufacturing labeling, play structure is intended for children ages 5- 12 years old. Once the City grants the permit, play structure is approved for the school age children only. LPA's did not observe any hazardous/ toxic items during the inspection. No deficiencies were issued during today's inspection. Exit interview conducted and report reviewed with Director Lola Gonzales.
