Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

On March 14, 2025 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Giovani Gonzalez conducted an unannounced inspection at the above-mentioned Child Care Center (CCC) to conclude a complaint investigation. LPA met with Program Administrator Anakela Fransico and informed them the purpose of the inspection. At the time of the inspection 36 children were present. Director Maria Suarez arrived at approximately 2:19PM. The allegation of Personal Rights - Daycare child sustained an unexplained injury could be corroborated. Although Child 1 (C1) did have a bruise, interviews revealed staff did not see C1 get hurt or observe the bruise while in care. Further, C1 attends this CCC in the morning and a different CCC in the afternoon. It cannot be established if C1 obtained the bruise at their morning or evening program. LPA notes camera footage from the afternoon program showed C1 was playing and running around at the end of the day. Staff interviews revealed when they observe children obtain an injury parents are notified with ouch report that given to parents at the end of the day or immediately, depending on severity. Parent interviews revealed when they are notified of injuries through various methods such as a phone call, message through app, and/or an ouch report. Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is unsubstantiated. Report was reviewed with Director Maria Suarez and notice of site visit was given.
