On April 1, 2025, at 11:45 AM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Elizabeth George conducted an unannounced Annual Random inspection at the above-mentioned Child Care Center (CCC). LPA met with Lead Teacher, Yasmin Diaz, and discussed the purpose of the inspection. At the time of the inspection 7 children were in the care of 3 staff. The preschools hours of operation are from 7:15am \342\200\223 5:15pm, Monday thru Friday. LPA in the company of the Lead Teacher toured the interior and exterior of the facility. The CCC consists of 2 classrooms, with only one classroom being utilized for the care of children, and an outdoor play area. LPA observed required licensing forms to be posted on the wall in the classroom. LPA observed the classroom to be clean and orderly. Age-appropriate toys and equipment are in good condition. Lead teacher informed LPA cleaning compounds are stored in a child locked cabinet. LPA observed all cabinets and drawers to be secured. There are sufficient restrooms for children which LPA observed to be in working order and clean and free of hazards. LPA observed smoke detector and fire alarm which lead teacher stated they checked regularly to ensure they are functioning. Carbon Monoxide detector was tested and found to be operable at 12:25 PM. LPA observed a regulation fire extinguisher last serviced on 12/9/24. LPA observed appropriate number of cubbies for children in care. LPA observed the outdoor play area to be surrounded by a chain link fence with sufficient space for children\342\200\231s activities. Drinking water is made available to children via water fountains located both inside classroom and outside. LPA observed age-appropriate equipment and toys in good repair. Continued on 809-C, Page 2 A sampling of children's files was reviewed. LPA observed all children's files to be current and complete. LPA reviewed files for the staff present which were found to be current and complete as well. LPA notes multiple staff have current Pediatric CPR/First Aid Certificates. LPA observed fire drills are being conducted and logged with the last fire drill 3/12/25. LPA observed the sign in and out sheets to filled out appropriately for the children that are present. LPA did not observe any bodies of water on site. There are no firearms or ammunition on CCC site. CCC provides breakfast, lunch and a snack to children. LPA observed kitchen area to be clean and free of any defects. The refrigerator contains food items consumed by the CCC's children which are labeled and dated. Lead Teacher was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated. Assembly Bill (AB) 2370, Chapter 676, Statutes of 2018, requires all licensed Child Care Centers constructed before January 1, 2010, to test their water (used for drinking and food preparation) for lead contamination before January 1, 2023, and then every 5-years after the date of the first test. LPA verified that the lead testing was completed, on 10/7/22, in accordance to the Written Directives outlined in PIN 21-21.1-CCP . Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see PIN 22-02-CCP . When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. Lead Teacher was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California. No deficiencies were given during today\342\200\231s visit. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
