Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

On 02/23/2022 at 9:45 AM, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) S. Mendoza-Ceja and M. Breault met with Director Erika Maldonado and explained the purpose of the inspection which is to conclude the investigation of the above allegations. Investigation included obtaining the child care roster, complainant's statement, interviewing the Director Erika Maldonado and staff, and some parents of children in care, and reviewing children's records. -The Director was interviewed and stated the infants diapers are changed every two hours but also as needed. There is a file and chart staff follow for the feeding plan. Director stated they were short staffed, but hired additional staff. Director stated the infants have shoes on if it is cold. If they get dropped off without shoes, we double up on the socks. Staff were also interviewed and did not provide corroborating evidence the center was out of compliance with the above allegations. -Parents were interviewed and did not corroborate the above allegations. -The above allegations are unsubstantiated, based on LPA's interviews with staff, parents of children in care, and record review. Although these allegations may have occurred, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove that the alleged violations did or did not occur, therefore, the allegations listed above are deemed UNSUBSTANTIATED. Exit interview was conducted with the Director, during which time appeal rights were explained. This report and appeal rights and Notice of Site Visit (LIC9213) were provided.
