Routine inspection·July 13, 2023

On July 13 th , 2023, at 11:58AM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Rosie Breault conducted an unannounced Annual/Random inspection. LPA met with Director\342\200\231s assistant Sara Leggieri and advised her the purpose of the inspection. At the time of the inspection there were zero (0) children, and zero (0) teachers present. Ms. Leggieri stated school is closed for summer session with reopen date of August 21 st , 2023. Ms. Leggieri provided LPA a tour of the facility inside and out. This facility is located on the grounds of El Montecito Presbyterian Church. LPA observed required licensing documents mounted on the wall at the entrance of the facility. Parents use Brightwheel app for purposes of signing in and out. The facility is currently utilizing five (5) classrooms for care and supervision. Each of the classrooms have ample ventilation, age-appropriate toys, and furniture readily accessible for children in care. Children nap on maps and their individual bedding is stored separately. Children bring their own water bottles and facility also provides filter water for use. LPA observed all cleaning compounds, disinfectants, sharps, combustibles, and tools to be elevated and inaccessible to children. First aid kids are available. LPA observed the facility has a sufficient number of restrooms and sinks available for the children. Children bring their own snacks; facility does not provide food services. Fire extinguisher was last serviced on August 17 th , 2022. Per Ms. Leggieri no firearms or ammunition are present on property. LPA observed the outdoor area play area to have ample amount of space for children to play with appropriate toys and equipment. LPA observed ample shade, soft padding, and sandbox covered by a tarp. No bodies of water are present. CONTINUED ON LIC809C Due to summer session and absence of director, Ms. Leggieri was unable to access administrative files however was able to provide LPA a sampling of children\342\200\231s files to review and found to be complete. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation interpretations and procedures for Child Care Centers sections 101173 and 101226.
