What the inspector wrote

On December 16, 2025 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Giovani Gonzalez conducted unannounced Required - 3 Year inspection at the above-mentioned Family Child Care Center (FCCH). LPA met with Licensee Patricia Moros, and informed them the purpose of the inspection. At the time of the inspection 7 children and 1 assistant was present. LPA in the company of the licensee toured the interior and exterior of the FCCH. LPA notes the facility uses the play room, 3 nap rooms, 1 bathroom and a portion of yard. LPA observed the play room to have age appropriate toys, and equipment. LPA observed the bathroom to be to be clean and free of hazards. LPA observed cleaning products to be on an elevated surface beyond the reach of children. LPA observed the nap rooms to have sufficient napping equipment for children in care. LPA observed nap rooms to have play pens and reminded licensee they must ensure they are free of loose object when children are napping. LPA observed required licensing forms and documents posted on the wall of the play room. LPA observed a combination carbon monoxide and smoke detector in the FCCH. The detector was tested at 10:04AM and found to be operable. The FCCH has a regulation fire extinguisher which was serviced 2/8/24. During the inspection licensee called to have the extinguisher serviced. LPA reminded License to either service or purchase a regulation fire extinguisher annually LPA observed the children's area of the yard to be completely enclosed. LPA observed the FCCH to have age appropriate toys and equipment. LPA observed exit ways to be secured with child proof gates. LPA observed storage sheds that are free of hazards and contain children's materials. LPA observed a pool and hot tub in the inaccessible side of the home. LPA notes the in ground pool and hot tub has a pool cover that are secured. CONTINUED PAGE 2 A sampling of children's record were reviewed and found to be current and complete. The Licensee's records were also reviewed and found to be current and complete. Licensee's Pediatric CPR/First Aid expires on 3/2/27. Licensee's Mandated Reporter Training (AB 1207 compliant) expires 1/4/2026. LPA reminded Licensee that it is their responsibility to maintain current certifications and training. LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with licensee and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at https://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed licensee of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see PIN 22-02- CCP. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. Licensee was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California. During the exit interview, the Licensee, confirmed that there are no Registered Sex Offenders living in the facility and LPA completed the RSO profile in FAS. Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated CONTINUED PAGE 3 To improve the quality and value of the new inspection process, a survey may be sent to the email address provided.
