What the inspector wrote

On May 15, 2024 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Giovani Gonzalez conducted an unannounced Required - 3 Year inspection at the above-mentioned Child Care Center. LPA met with Site Supervisor Russell Hughart. LPA in the company of the Site Supervisor toured the interior and exterior of the CCC. At the time of the inspection there were 27 children present and 2 staff providing care. During today's inspection LPA observed the classroom being used by another school program while the children were outside. Site Supervisor informed LPA that they have had a shared classroom for a while and that children are usually outside most of the time. LPA observed the classroom to be clean and organized. Site supervisor informed LPA that cleaning supplies are stored under the sink which is locked. LPA reviewed the CARE tool with Site Supervisor as well. LPA toured the outdoor area of the facility and observed children to be in the Terraces play area. Site Supervisor informed LPA that this is their main area. LPA observed that the backpacks/lunchboxes of the children to be scattered near the play ground that they were currently on. LPA observed the bathrooms that are used for children that are located outside near the playground. Site Supervisor informed LPA that due to their staffing they are needed to be part of the ratio, the inspection will need to be continued at a later time. LPA will review the staff and children's records during the follow up visit. At approximately 4:35PM Director of Afterschool Care and Preschool, Esther Reitmeier arrived. Notice of Site Visit was given and report was reviewed with Director of Afterschool Care and Preschool Esther Reitmeier.
