What the inspector wrote

On 07/22/2021, at 9:25 a.m. Licensing Program Analyst, (LPA) Jill Laxo conducted an unannounced Required Annual Inspection. Director Monica Robarge and Rebecca Purdy was contacted and asked Pre-Screening COVID-19 questions prior to LPA's arrival. Responses to the questions suggest no COVID-19 exposure on site. Rebecca Purdy will be the new director beginning with the new school year. The school year begins August 30, 2021. The center was toured inside and out. The school is on summer break, no teachers or children were present. LPA advised director to notify the Department for school closures or submit request for inactive status. Two classrooms will be used for the preschool. Classrooms were in safe and sanitary condition and free of hazards and adequately equipped with age and size appropriate furniture and equipment was in good condition. Bathrooms were in safe and sanitary operating condition. Disinfectants and cleaning supplies are located in adult locked bathroom which is inaccessible to children. Filtered drinking water is readily available both indoors and out. Playground is completely fenced with equipment in safe condition including cushioning material and was free of hazards. There were no bodies of water. Director stated there are no guns nor ammunition on the premises. Continued on 809C. Personnel records were viewed and contained documents for education, AB 1207, medical health screening, employee rights, Pediatric CPR/First Aid expires 11/30/2021, and criminal background clearance. Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. Director was reminded that it is their responsibility to know the regulations for the facility, which can be accessed at www.ccld.ca.gov . LPA discussed with director PIN 20-01 Lead Testing requirements. No deficiencies were cited during today's inspection. Notice of Site Visit has been posted (LIC9213). The notice shall be posted for 30 consecutive days. Failure to maintain posting as required will result in a $100.00 civil penalty.
