What the inspector wrote

On September 12, 2022 at 9:50 AM , Licensing Program Analyst, (LPA) Gigi Reyes conducted an announced Pre Licensing Inspection and met with Licensee/Director, Ms. Kimberly Kranz. LPA asked pre-screening questions related to COVID 19 and Director's responses indicate there are no exposures on site. LPA explained the purpose of the inspection. A Child's Care Village Center is an Infant Center and will operate Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Center shall likewise operate during weekends as necessary. LPA Reyes with Center Director Ms. Kranz toured the center inside and out. LPA measured the indoor and outdoor activity spaces for infant. The indoor space will accommodate ten (10 ) infants while the outdoor can accommodate for maximum of 15. The Center has an open floor plan, the napping area will be enclosed with 4 feet tall flexible glass. There is a changing table with an arm reach sink in the center. There is one toilet and 2 sinks available for infant/children's use. A separate bathroom and sinks for staff use were observed. The room is equipped with age appropriate furnishings and toys. There is an available refrigerator for food storage. Carbon monoxide and smoke detectors were tested at the time of visit. There are cribs and cots available for napping, individual cubbies for the children's belongings storage. The play ground is enclosed with 6 feet tall wooden fence. Front and backyards will be used for outdoor. Director stated that additional shades will be installed. The fire clearance was granted on 8/26/2022 for 15 infants, however the indoor space measurement can only accommodate a capacity of ten (10) infants. The application is pending subject for completion of the following: - installation of flexible glass to separate the napping area from activity area - additional shades in the outdoor activity space Continued on LIC 809C Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual - Regulation Interpretations and Procedures for Child Care Centers Sections 101173 and 101226. When any IMS is provided, an updated Plan of Operation that includes IMS must be submitted to the Department. LPA also informed [applicant, licensee, or facility representative] of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased equipment Exit interview was conducted and report was reviewed with Licensee/Director, Ms. Kimberly Kranz
