Inspector’s narrative

What the inspector wrote

On December 10, 2025 at 1:30 PM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Elizabeth George conducted a case management licensee initiated inspection to inspect the proposed isolation area/staff bathroom change per the licensee. LPA met with Director, Jim Murphy, and discussed the purpose of the inspection. LPA alongside director toured the facility in its entirety. There were 4 children in the care of 2 staff (cleared and associated). LPA observed that the current staff restroom is accessible to the preschool. The Director stated that construction of a half-wall partition is scheduled to take place during the school break, when no children are present. This partition will serve to prevent the commingling of elementary school students with preschool children. The new staff restroom, which will also function as the isolation restroom, is designated to be located across the vestibule. The LPA observed the restroom to be clean and free of hazardous materials. The LPA discussed with the Director the requirement that children must be fully supervised at all times, both within the preschool and when a sick child is utilizing the isolation restroom. Additionally, the office will be used as the designated isolation space when a toilet and sink are not required. The change of licensing areas for the staff restroom and isolation toilet and sink are approved. No citation were issued during this inspection. Exit interview was conducted and notice of site visit was given.
