What the inspector wrote

On 4/17/2025, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Joaquin Mendez, conducted an unannounced Plan of Correction inspection to address deficiencies cited during an Annual inspection with Capacity increase at Alvarado Family Child Care Home (FCCH) on 4/08/2025, in reference to LPA are to check for corrections related to the hazardous and toxic items accessible to children during daycare hours. LPA met with Mariam Alvarado, licensee and Evelia Castillo, assistant. LPA explained the nature and reason of the inspection. At 11:00 AM, LPA Mendez toured the FCCH inside and out. LPA observed two (2) infant and six (6) children in care at the time of the inspection. At 10:40 AM, LPA Mendez advised the licensee, LPA had yet to receive the plan of correction (POC) for the deficiencies cited on 4/08/2025. Licensee stated she had set a reminder but still forgot to email LPA the POC before 4/18/2025. LPA observed the reminder posted on the wall to remind the licensee. The licensee wrote out the POC at the time of the inspection. The inspection visit was conducted, and report was read to the licensee by LPA Mendez. There were no deficiencies cites at this time. LPA observed licensee post the Notice of Site visit. FAILURE TO POST THE NOTICE OF SITE VISIT FOR 30 DAYS MAY RESULT IN A $100.00 CIVIL PENALTY
