Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Marilou Monico conducted an announced Case Management Inspection in response to Licensee's requests to change the capacity from 84 to 70 children and to add Rooms 28 and 30, removing Rooms 20 and 21. LPA met with Center Manager, Cindy Lipp. Cindy indicated that the center is closed for summer and will reopen on August 14, 2025. Fire clearance was granted on August 1, 2025. LPA toured the indoor and outdoor areas. The school age program is located at Garden Gate Elementary School site. Since the program is operated at a functioning elementary school site, the facility is exempt from the indoor measurement and outdoor square footage requirements, the fencing requirements, toilet/sink ratios and isolation area requirements. The center will be providing afternoon snacks to children. Snacks will be prepared in Room 30. LPA observed disposable utensils and microwave. LPA observed that the rooms are furnished with furniture and equipment such as tables, chairs, sinks, cubbies, couches, etc. LPA observed tanbarks as resilient material under and around the climbing structures. Drinking water will be provided by drinking fountains, water dispenser, individual water bottles indoor and outdoor. The following items must be submitted to Licensing prior to licensure of 70 school age children: 1) Capacity letter from the Elementary School Principal/School District Superintendent indicating the rooms are considered usable and of sufficient size for 70 children. 2) Photo showing that there is a refrigerator for storage of perishable goods in Room 30. There were no deficiencies cited. Exit interview was conducted and this report was reviewed with Center Manager, Cindy Lipp. A Notice of Site Visit was issued and must remain posted for 30 days.
