What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Samantha Yip conducted an unannounced Required- 1 Year inspection. LPA met with staff, Sandra, and explained the reason for the inspection. Site Director Martha Morales arrived around 1:20PM. Present during today's inspection were 15 children and at least 5 staff. Facility was within ratio during today's inspection. There is an area to post required posting, such as license, notification of parent's rights, personal rights, and car seat law. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday 6AM to 4PM. LPA toured the inside and outside of the facility. Disinfectant, cleaning supplies, and other items that could pose a risk to children were observed to be inaccessible to children. Toys and equipment were observed to be age appropriate. The floors were free of tripping hazard. There is fully charged fire extinguisher, smoke detector, and carbon monoxide detector. Site Director stated that there are no weapons, such as firearms, on the premise. The outdoor activity area is fenced. Shaded rest area is provided through trees, building overhang, and pergola. Areas around play structure have resilient material. There were no bodies of water observed during today's inspection. Meals and snacks are provided to the children. Menu was observed to be posted. All meals and snacks are prepared through a third party. There is a kitchen to store food. Kitchen has hot and cold running water. Trash can for waste have tight-fitted lids. Drinking water inside and outside are provided through water cooler and cups. -------------------continues on 809 dated 04/20/2023 page 2-------------------- -----------------continuation of 809 dated 04/04/2023 page 1-------------------- This facility provides Incidental Medical Services \342\200\223 IMS. LPA reviewed storage of medication and equipment/supplies, and reviewed children\342\200\231s, personnel, and administrative records. For IMS information, see PIN 22-02-CCP. Six (6) children's files were reviewed during today's inspection. The records reviewed include but not limited to immunization records and admission agreement. Five (5) staff files were reviewed during today's inspection. The records reviewed include but not limited to education credit, Mandated Reporter training, and immunization records. There is at least one staff with a valid CPR/1st Aid, which expires on 11/01/2023. All staff are fingerprinted through Santa Clara County Office of Education (SCCOE). Therefore, all criminal records are monitored through the Santa Clara Country Office of Education. Site Director verified that all staff are fingerprinted through SCCOE. Facility will submit the following: - paperwork for staff who is a fully qualified director and on site full time by 05/22/2023 As a result of this inspection, no deficiencies were issued. Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Site Director Martha Morales. A notice of site visit has been issued and must remain posted for 30 days.
