What the inspector wrote

On 12/5/2025 at 8:30 am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Manel Estoesta conducted a Case Management Visit due to an Incident Report. LPA met with Director Mariah Torrales and explained the nature of the visit. On this visit there were 17 Staff Members, 25 Infants and 60 Preschool Children. The facility operates from Monday to Friday 7 am to 6 pm. On 11/26/2025, later in the afternoon, The Director reported an Unusual Incident to the Oakland Child Care Regional Office. The incident was that, on 11/26/2025 at 12:30 pm, during a nap time in a Preschool Classroom, C1 showed signs of a possible seizure, such as “rapid and frequent blinking of the eyes.” S1 immediately turned C1 onto C1’s side, and approximately within a minute, the signs of possible seizure stopped. S1 reported the incident to the Director, the Director spoke to C1’s father. C1’s father came to the facility. C1 and C1’s father left the facility at 2:39 pm. During the visit, LPA conducted staff interviews and record review. LPA advised the Director of the PIN 22-02-CCP BEST PRACTICES RELATED TO THE PROVISION OF INCIDENTAL MEDICAL SERVICES (IMS) IN CHILD CARE CENTER.
