What the inspector wrote

On 03/06/2024 at 2:20pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Farida Raja, conducted an unannounced case management inspection as a result of an informal office meeting conducted with Licensees, Batool Afjei and Seyed Ghoreyshi on 09/28/2023. LPA met with licensee, Batool Afjei and explained the nature of today's inspection. LPA toured the indoor and outdoor areas and observed licensee and 2 infant children during today\342\200\231s inspection. Licensee is operating within the ratio and capacity requirements of the license. Children were engaged in free play and napping in cribs in the family room during today's inspection. LPA observed that licensee is providing care in the family room of the home. Licensee uses the right side entrance to the garage for the daycare purposes but does not use the garage to provide care to children. LPA reviewed children's roster and obtained a copy. LPA reviewed two (2) children's files and observed Acknowledgement of Receipt of Licensing Reports (LIC 9224) and 15 minute nap check log in each child's file. LPA reviewed fire drill log. Last fire drill was conducted on 09/18/2023. LPA advised licensee to conduct and document fire drills every 6 months. Licensee stated that she plans to conduct the next fire drill on 03/08/2024 when all enrolled children are present. LPA observed a baby bouncers inside a crib along with other storage items. LPA advised licensee that as baby walkers are not allowed in childcare homes licensee can store them in off limit areas not accessible to daycare children. Licensee placed the baby bouncer in the off limit garage area during today's inspection. LPA observed that the swimming pool in the backyard is fenced and gated and did not observe any gaps in the mesh installed between panels. No deficiencies were cited as result of today's inspection. Exit interview was conducted and report was reviewed with Licensee, Batool Afjei. A NOTICE OF SITE VISIT WAS ISSUED AND MUST REMAIN POSTED FOR 30 CONSECUTIVE DAYS.
