What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs), Farida Raja and Albert Mendoza, conducted an unannounced case management inspection. LPAs met with Licensees, Carmen and Rafael Mendoza-Madrigal and explained the purpose of the visit. Upon arrival, LPAs observed Licensees, assistant (S3) and 9 children including 1 infant and 8 preschool age. During today's inspection, LPAs observed cleaning products and sprays in a bottom cabinet in the kitchen area that is accessible to children in care. Through file review, LPAs observed that Licensees and assistant staff, S3 do not have current Mandated Reporter Training's. LPAs reminded Licensees that the training is required to be renewed every two years. LPAs conducted a facility walk through of the swimming pool area. LPAs observed that the self latching device on the gate leading to the pool does not function and the gate does not self close when opened. The gate was observed to be closed during today's inspection. LPAs also discussed the requirements of AB 2866 with Licensees and provided them with a copy of PIN 25-01-CCP during today's inspection. Three Type B deficiencies were cited as a result of today's inspection. Exit Interview conducted and report was reviewed with Licensees, Carmen and Rafael Mendoza-Madrigal. A NOTICE OF SITE VISIT WAS GIVEN AND MUST REMAIN POSTED FOR 30 DAYS.
