What the inspector wrote
Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Mandeep Kaur conducted an unannounced Annual/Random inspection. LPA met with Licensee, Ambrose Commissariat, and explained to her the nature of today's inspection. Licensee stated that day care home is closed for this week for summer break. No children were present during today's inspection. All required posting materials were posted. The day care hours of operations are Monday through Friday from 08:15 AM to 6:00 PM. There are no active waivers or exceptions for this facility.
LPA toured the indoor and outdoor areas of the facility. Licensee was reminded of fire/disaster drill shall be conducted every six months and documented. LPA observed a fully charged fire extinguisher, functioning smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. Licensee states that there are no weapons or firearms in the home.

LPA observed that the home is clean and orderly. Cleaning products, sharp objects, and other items that are dangerous to children were stored inaccessible. LPA observed sufficient age-appropriate materials, toys, and play equipment in the home. The children's bathroom is clean, sanitary, and operable. During today's inspection, LPA observed and inspected the swimming pool in the backyard. Swimming pool has a mesh fence that prevents access to the pool area, and is compliant with American Society Testing and Materials (ASTM) International Standard F2286. The proof of the fence is compliant with ASTM F2286 was obtained during today's inspection. The fence has a self latching gate, and was tested to close and self latch. There is a lock on the gate with an alarm. The pool is equipped with an alarm which is placed in the pool. Licensee tested the alarms and are working. In addition to the pool safety, applicant has a life ring with minimum diameter of 17 inches and approved by the U.S. Coast Guard, and a rescue pole with a body hook, and minimum length of 12 feet.

LPA reviewed four(4) children file during today's inspection for the following records: Notification of Parents
Rights (LIC995A), Consent for Emergency Medical Treatment (LIC627), Identification and Emergency Information (LIC700), Infant sleep log for 15 minutes check, and Immunization Records.
LPA reviewed an Adult helper's file for the following records: Employee Rights (LIC 9052), Statement Acknowledging Requirement to Report Child Abuse (LIC 9108), immunizations, TB test, and required training. Licensee has immunizations in measles, pertussis and flu. Licensee has current Pediatric CPR/First Aid certifications with an expiration date of March 5, 2026. LPA reminded Licensee that Mandated Reporter Training must be renewed by all staff every 2 years.
LPA provided and discussed the safe sleep regulations with Licensee and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep webpage at an additional resource. LPA also reminded Licensee of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices

recommended they register all infant devices with the CPSC to be notified of any recalls on their purchased
equipment.
Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see Evaluator Manual-

provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. The following information regarding

Licensee, Ambrose Commissariat, was reminded that all adults 18 and over living in the home, persons who provide care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and
volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record
clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5-days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30-days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

Licensee, Ambrose Commissariat, was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education
website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and
Referral Agencies (R&R's) throughout California.
No deficiency issued during today's inspection. Appeal rights provided.
Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with Licensee, Ambrose Commissariat.

During the exit interview, the Licensee, Ambrose Commissariat, confirmed that there are no Registered Sex
Offenders living in the facility and LPA completed the RSO profile in FAS.
A NOTICE OF SITE VISIT WAS ISSUED AND MUST REMAIN POSTED FOR 30 DAYS.
