What the inspector wrote

Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jennifer "Jen" Beehler conducted an unannounced case management visit for a plan of corrections that derived from the Annual/Random inspection on 01/09/2025. LPA reviewed the outstanding items with the Director. LPA observed infant's LIC9227 complete along with the infant needs and services plans up to date. LPA observed staff files having flu declinations complete. All plan of corrections relating to these items have been cleared. Mandated Reporter training was expired for three staff people, including the Director. LPA reminded the Director that Mandated Reporter training must be updated every two years and meet the requirement of AB1207. Due to today's inspection, one Type B deficiency was cited, more information provided on the attached LIC809-D. Exit interview conducted with Director, Danna Osborn, report reviewed and provided along with appeal rights. NOTICE OF SITE VISIT PROVIDED AND MUST REMAIN POSTED FOR 30 DAYS.

    (1) On or before March 30, 2018, a person who, on January 1, 2018, is a licensed child day care provider, administrator, or employee of a licensed child day care facility shall complete the mandated reporter training provided pursuant to paragraphs (2) and (3) of subdivision (a), and shall complete renewal mandated reporter training every two years following the date on which he or she completed the initial mandated reporter training.This requirement is not met as evidenced by: Based on record review, the licensee did not comply with the section cited above in 3 out of 6 persons did not have an update mandated reporter training which poses a potential health, safety or personal rights risk to persons in care.
